The lens got stuck halfway while retreating into where it was supposed to be and refused to budge since then.
I was sooo upset!
I mean, this Lumix baby has accompanied me in my many photo journeys over the years, including my countless overseas vacations!
It takes awesome photos and I like the fact that it's semi-pro.
I like it that it is more than a simple digital camera; less than a professional DSLR which I don't think I can be up to the task of fully-utilising it.
I mean, if I can under-use an iPhone, what more a DSLR? ;p
Left without a choice, I headed down to the Panasonic Customer Care Centre (which, thankfully, was located merely less than a kilometre away from home) and they had the audacity to quote me...THIS.
Shocked, but can't help it, I still gotta repair my camera right...
So I told them to go ahead with the diagnosis and let me know of further details and the final price quoted for repair.
Last friday, I got a call saying it will cost me 80$.
Woohoo! *does a backflip and throws pompoms in the air*
At least it's a quarter of the price that was initially quoted.
I'm satisfied. ;)
Hence, I went down to collect my Lumix baby this afternoon.
This faulty motor costs me 80$. Urgh.
Hello there, my Lumix baby!
Good to have you back yo!
The ads have been out for quite some time but everytime I see them, I feel jovial for no reason cos it's really too adorable IMO.
Maybe I should start saving up... Hmmm... Guilty pleasures.
