#1335: Scent of a Woman

I'm currently going gaga over this particular Korean drama titled "Scent of a Woman".

I chanced upon episode 8 on OneTVAsia one fateful day and believe it or not, after watching that episode, OH MY GOODNESS, I totally went crazy and caught up on those I missed on Funshion.

Watch from 55:00 minutes onwards TILL THE END and that was what I saw - the part on the confession of her illness in order to clear the misunderstanding to her best friend of 20 years. And the desire to live and love in her remaining days.
***Remember to press CC on the video to see the English subtitles!

Previously before it aired on OneTVAsia, the channel was furiously promoting the show.
I watched the trailer and was not impressed by it.
I only thought the male lead was kinda handsome and the female lead, mediocre.
Man, was I proven so wrong.
See? The consequence of denying an excellent production based on the cast's looks.
Ahhh Huimin you're so superficial.

Back to the drama.
Before chancing upon the episode on TV, I read in the papers about the conference they held in SG on the drama's promotional tour.
I remember reading that Kim Sun Ah (the same actress who shot to fame by acting in My Name is Kim Sam Soon) suffered from depression or something like that because of her role in this drama and she sobbed while being interviewed.
Oh man when you know actors and actresses suffer from depression because of their roles they play, the shows are definitely worth watching because it is as if they have devoted their souls to the production.

Kim Sun Ah really lost a lot of weight to prepare herself for the role of a cancer patient in this drama.
Look at her bony arms my goodness!

I got a shock, so will everyone if they have watched her in "My Name is Kim Sam Soon".
She was so chubby back then, look!

Lee Dong Wook changed a lot too!
I don't remember him being so handsome back then in "My Girl".

SO-SO only right?
He went to serve military service and once he got discharged, he went to film "Scent of a Woman" and got soooo good-looking now!
It must have been the weight loss (and the change in hairstyle DEFINITELY) too!

And so you see, I'm infatuated with the hottie, Lee Dong Wook now!
He's just sooo adorable!

The fringe, the fringe, I LOVEEE HIS FRINGE!

SOOO SWEET.

Kim Sun Ah & Lee Dong Wook - Drama ‘Scent of a Woman’

Because he’s such a cutie that everyone loves since his My Girl days back in 2005 (that’s a long time ago!), it’s almost a waste if I don’t give him an appreciation post. His performance in Scent of a Woman is so great, although what amuses me the most about him in the story is his expressions. I don’t care if it’s Kang Ji-Wook’s expressions, but behind those poker faces, he’s still the handsome man Lee Dong-Wook.
Since Ji-Wook is another chaebol who isn’t that interested in his work, his face is always the same: bored and not amused are the crucial expressions plastered on his face.
Well, he’s improving himself when he’s with Yeon-Jae and able to give away some smiles.
A friendly advice: when people tells you to run, just run. Don’t ask anything. Or do that cute face like him.
Playing boss while actually, his mind is not there at all.
Judging you right now.
*surprised*
Oh, no…being scolded again..
Not amused at all.
How dare he hang up on me??
That’s a horrible line I’ve just delivered. Screw me.
Hmph. First love. Hmph.
I want to play some more…
Haha, this is the part where he told Yeon Jae he has a present for her and when she asked what it was, he replied, "Me!" SOOO CUTEEE!!!

How can someone in this world be so freaking hot???

Back to watching the awesome drama (and hoping to dream of Lee Dong Wook haha)!

#1334: Hype Comms celebrating Christmas!

Who are Hype Communications?

There you have it! 3 months of hard work and we got ourselves a nice treat during an advanced Xmas gathering!

Our journey...starting from unfamiliar faces, personalities...

...to well-bonded and close-knitted friends that we recognise each other as.

Walking up on stage to receive our Best Pitch - Silver Award!

And our leader, RS was so moved to tears and brilliantly captured by the camera men.

The two very brave presenters on the day of the pitch.

I could say I have gone through a hell lot under RS's leadership.
A hell lot of bad stuff like the stress and late night chiong-ing and stuff, but the good stuff outweigh the bad. Definitely, haha!

I kinda miss the girls already.
Time for a gathering to be held in 2012!
