#1240: Bruno Mars VS Taylor Swift

Buddy told me to listen to Bruno Mars' "Just the way you are".
Thanks to him, I realised that...
:D

and...

#1239: Voyage de la vie!

Voyage de la vie, the Journey of Life!
I once worked part time for Resorts World Sentosa to distribute flyers to promote Voyage de la vie and that was how I got to know about this performance.

When I went to work under my ex-boss at Sistic, I merely very randomly told him that I would love to watch the performance and the next thing I know, I got a call the next day from him to ask me to go and collect complimentary tickets from him.
He is sooo nice!
Sadly, I was not available to go and had another colleague replace me. :(

I thought that was it, but no, he contacted me two days back and asked if I was still interested in the performance and I exclaimed, "hell yeah!".
He managed to obtain two tickets for me and I wanted to bring my mum cos she read about the brilliant male contortionist and was intrigued by his youth and stunning capabilities.

When I finally got hold of the tickets, she did not want to go anymore because she claimed RWS is far.
How big can Singapore be, anyway? LOL.
In the end, I managed to get Amina (after much drama) to enjoy the theatrical circus with me! ^^

My FIRST time stepping into Resorts World Sentosa!

Here at the Festive Grand.

It was a world class, spectacular performance even though one of the circus artists screwed up a little but he made up for it during his second try.
There was a standing ovation (of course!) during the finale and everyone was just so thrilled and entertained by the cast.
It is by far, the most entertaining performance I have seen in theatres (judging from my not so rich history, LOL).
I mean, it is really impressive.
There wasn't any hiccups in between and even when the crew were changing sets and scenes, the audience was held captivated by the wonders of the wonderful pianist and the marvellous magician!
There was engagement of the crowd too; Jonathan Leong gave out roses (which I didn't get, sadly).

Our seats were really near, somewhat the 7th row from the front and we could see the performers clearly.
I would suggest to sit a lil further back though in order to view the performance in its entirety because there were, *gasps!* aerial acrobats too!
When we looked up, there were 4 lovely ladies swinging over our heads!

Throughout the performance, our mouths were just left hanging agape.
I cannot fully describe the feeling in words, one gotta experience and feel it to understand.
GO WATCH IT, it is worth EVERY PENNY of yours.
I give you MY WORD.

The 1600 strong theatre was surprisingly at least 80% filled, seeing as it being a Thursday night.

Peachy pink is so Amina's colour! She looks so radiant in it!

Stunning beyond words.

This young boy has no bones.
He reminds me of snakes.

This guy's an amaaaazing shooter, as accurate as can be.

I was so overwhelmed by the magnificent performance I headed over to the gift shop for its merchandise and landed myself a lanyard as a souvenir.
Overpriced items, tsk.

"It's not about the destination,
because the moment you arrive, you'll find what you're looking for,
has always been right there inside, right there in your heart,
on this beautiful journey of life, Voyage de la vie!"

After the performance, we proceeded to explore the place.

Being in Universal Studios, even at the exterior of it, makes me feel like I'm not in Singapore.
Everything gives me a "wonderland" kind of vibe y'know.

We are SOOO HAPPY to step on the grounds of Universal Studios!

Goodbye, Resorts World Sentosa.
You truly amaze me.

#1238: Times have changed, so has the perception of love?

Despite all the unhappy things that are happening in school, I'm glad to have found entertainment on Facebook.
Ah, the good thing about my blog being accessible to only a few closed ones, these people can never know I blogged about them, unless of course, my friends decide to sell me out.
Are you people that evil? I most certainly hope not.
Don't break my trust. :)

It baffles me that he can "love" me just by seeing me on FB and if I reply him, we could be able "to keep the fire of love burning".
Whatever happened to "love" these days?

Yes, you can get to know me better. As if.
Sorry but I'm kinda a socially awkward person and that explains the pathetic number of friends I have on Facebook because I only add and accept friends with whom I have had actual contact with.
Sorry!

Guys, here are a few tips for chasing girls.

OMG, I totally heart no1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6.
Basically all of them (2, 4 and 6 will make me go awww!!!) and I know girls dig those too!

Of course, a bouquet of roses works wonders too!

And if any guy is capable of doing this, any girl would melt and say... YES!

#1237: I lay on the bed, thinking...

Yesternight, I lay in bed thinking of the "drama" that I had been through.
That's right, the over-riding pressure from school has gotten to me.
I laid in bed, wanting to cry but just cannot seem to succumb to tears.
I'm a strong warrior.
I stay strong, ready for battle and...

Yes, the minute I think of giving it all up, I will remind myself of the reason why I held on for so long.
C'mon, it has only been the FIRST semester!
The road's gonna get harder as I trot on.
Never fear the obstacles that come by, for I have dear friends that cheer me on!
JIAYOU, people too!
We're comrades in fighting the war of academics!

#1236: Hell Hath No Fury Like A Woman Scorned.

One of William Congreve's famous lines, "Heaven has no rage like love to hatred turned, Nor hell a fury like a woman scorned".
It has now been modernly paraphrased as "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned".
Back then, it used to refer to a woman in inexplicable fury upon rejection in the name of love but now, it can mean a slighted female.
A female who is disrespected, like ME!

I came home, threw my two shopping bags on the floor and complained to my mum.
She was shocked to see me in full-blast temper, but of course already knew the full storyline ever since the budding stage of my group project's dispute.
I defended my purchases and said that they are all bought under stress.
I need to relieve them by spending money and she shook her head.

So what's the story about?
I have a group project for the unit, Marketing Management.
The marketing plan holds 40% while the final exam is of 30% weightage.
The marketing plan is due next friday, 5th Nov while the presentation, the following Monday on the 8th.
The group consists of 3 guys and 2 girls, including me.
My female group mate is fine; I've worked with her for Consumer Behaviour before and we worked fine.
It's the guys that are causing me problems.
One's a haughty ATAS mixed blood who doesn't give a s***, the other is his khaki who though, has been corresponding with my female group mate but doesn't produce significant results and lastly, a national water polo player who lives in JB.
Not that I mind his residential address, he's actually the most helpful bloke among the guys but still.

We have been talking about settling down to have a headstart for the project since A MONTH AGO and nothing has been actualised YET.
For fish's sake, we have barely 11 days left to compile a 25-page report.
And the topic ain't easy, shall I add?

Finally on the 19th Oct, the one who's neither the ATAS nor the water polo player mass-emailed all of us with this.

I thought, hey, this is good, finally the guy has gained enlightenment and decided to work.

When I opened the document, good heaven and earth, it was just a compilation of whatever research we sent him.
It was no different from ROJAK you know.
There is no focus, no answering of the assignment question, nothing like a marketing plan at all.

The following day, I sent an email to all of them, spoon-feeding them with information and the requirements of our assignment because clearly enough, they know nothing and expect to have something out of nothingness.

Since the guy who mass-emailed us earlier on requested for our availability schedules, my female group mate and I replied him on the days AND timings that we are free for discussion.
Guess what?
NO REPLY.

I went to school today with an ominous feeling.
My female group mate did not attend class.
I was left alone with that guy who, like I coin him in this post, neither the ATAS guy nor the water polo guy.
Class ended rather early today because the lecturer wanted the remaining time to be left for consultation.
I approached the guy and asked, "so are we up for a consultation later on?"
"I don't think we brought anything to be used for consultation." !!!!!!!!!!!!! What nonchalance!!!!!!!!!
"Right. Then, did you receive my email?"
"Sorry, I don't check my email." WHAT THE HECK?! YOU DON'T READ EMAILS? THEN WHY DID YOU BLOODY USE EMAIL FOR CORRESPONDENCE PREVIOUSLY ANYWAY!!!!!!! WHAT THE FISH!!!!!!!!!
"Okay so what's going to happen now? I heard from A (my female group mate) that you are gonna do it tomorrow. Is that right?"
"Yeah, I'm meeting with _____ (the ATAS guy) to do it after your Consumer Behaviour class tomorrow."
"Alright, see you then. Bye."

After which I stomped off.
Literally stamping my foot into the earth below because I was so humiliated and pissed off and furious and ohmygosh, are there any other phrases that can be used to illustrate my anger?
What have I done to deserve such group mates???
I already organised the scaffold well and just needed them to fill the skeleton with contents, that's all.
All I need is their choice of area to focus on and then off we go to conduct research.
What the heck is so difficult about that?!
And I can get one joker telling me he doesn't bloody hell check his email.

I posted this on Facebook last week after that compiled rojak thing the guy who's neither ATAS nor a water polo player sent me.
I got quite a number of consolations.

After the episode today, this is what I have to say.

Right after school, I went to SPEND, SPEND, SPEND to get rid of my stress and unhappiness and ended up with a new bag and a pair of heels.
My mama's gonna slaughter me over my expanding shoe collection but she being a woman should be able to understand that our gender spend money without a reason.
When we are happy, we spend.
When we are sad, we spend.
No rhyme nor reason. :D

I'm just hoping and wishing and praying that I can get done with this unit once and for all and stay as far away with this bunch of inglorious a**holes as possible.
They are apparently causing me so much misery that I may find myself with a deficit bank account.
Kidding, but close to, given the way I de-stress myself.

Remember, hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.

#1235: What-the-heck?!

What-the-heck?!
I thought he was leaving the Red Devils for good and really (as according to the rumours), crossing over to the Eastlands.
Geez, what a saga.

#1234: Sorry, but this YSL lipstick is really an art piece.

With reference to my previous post #1233: Guilty pleasures......

I could not fight the temptation to land my fingers on one SOOO, there I have it!

Okay this is not really a good shot with the squished nose that spells *constipation*.

Aaah, this is a much better one.

PS: I can sleep a happy soul.
