#95: Happy 40th Birthday, Singapore!
HAPPY 40TH BIRTHDAY SINGAPORE!
I'm so proud to be a Singaporean.
Just came back from joining in the fun at Tampines. I went there at 7 so anyone could have guessed that it was super-crowded. Yups. Approximately 25000 people were present to chip in in celebrating the nation's birthday. Woah. The atmosphere was really intensifying cos everyone was feelin undoubtedly, high.
It was rather rare that my family could have a group outing. I remembered the last time we all went out together was...er... ya, Chinese New Year. Family bonding is very important, u noe. We screamed, sang, cheered and laughed as a family, that kind of happiness is indescribable.
The fireworks display had to be the most fascinating one. It lit up the dull night sky with joyful colours. It certainly warmed my heart. Hah. I din forget to take pictures of it from my first new digital camera! I'm so in love with it.
I think not only can we feel the joyous atmosphere in Padang, i have to praise the organisational team for suggesting a celebration in the heartlands too!
Luckily there were not a single terrorist attack. I have been so terrified of a possible one all because of Vincent Tan's incessant scares. He claimed that since Singapore had enjoyed 40 years of peace and stability, there is a likelihood that the terrorists will plan an attack on National's Day in Singapore. What bullshit. I quite believed him at first because the terrorists even dared to bomb US and London, dun even talk about not daring to bomb Singapore. Li an was so humourous by saying that she will flee to Tuas today, just in case. I believed her u noe. I also told my mum that i wan to go Tuas and hide cos they wun stupidly go and bomb there. I was really scared out of my wits. Luckily, thank to god's blessings, SINGAPORE IS SAFE AND SOUND!
