#103: Memoirs of a Geisha

helloooooo.

i watched the memoirs of a geisha already. it's like finally lo. watched it yday with eunice. because of much anticipation for that movie, i think it was good after all. at least the movie was worth one drop of my tear at the end. if not of the comical atmosphere eunice created throughout the movie by laughing stupidly at the male lead, i would have cried more. the ending very touching ok.

basically, the movie is generally like any other one, jus that the beginning is a bit draggy. got loads of young chiyo-chan. she is super chio i tell you. I SO LOVE ZHANG ZIYI'S BLUE-GREY CONTACT LENSES OK. it's so damn nice lo. 'YOur eyes are like rain!'

My friends also say that 'I Not Stupid Too' is nice. Got teach a lot of moral values. Even if i were to go and watch it, it's for the sake of Shawn, not Joshua. Joshua is so beng. Even my male friends weeped at the ending, so say my female friends. Haha. I should find a time to go watch.

Tomorrow is Friday. Ponning MI halfway to go back to tK. yay! can see mr wee again!

#102: Disaster at school.

hey. i am now in school. sian mans. i pon maths jus now cos the teacher is ya... i described him in my previous post le. you all know what happened not.

the entire class pon the maths lesson except for one pathetic geek. his name is wilson. i think he is going to be a scholar or some minister in future. btw, he clicks very well with ken khoon. birds of the same-something flock together. is there such a saying? dunno la.

anyways i think my whole class is gonna get suspension or whatsoever. the school rules and regulations state very clearly that we will get suspension if we break any of them- and that includes skipping lessons. a very good example will be chang yuan from tk lo. he never dyed his hair back to black and kena suspension.

i want to watch memoirs of a geisha.

#101: Admitted into Millennia Institute!

I GOT INTO MILLENNIA INSTITUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will be starting school tomorrow. Yes. The day after the interview. What interview? All bullshit. I initially thought i was the only one due for the interview, you know those kind whereby you are confined in a room facing your employer sort of thing. But, there are like 10 odd students there too.

So, we were brought to a conference room. The HOD of Commerce was in charge of our briefing so she started off with a speech. The gist of it was to imply to us that the Bartley campus is already very overcrowded and that we do not stand a good chance. Upon hearing this, i simply wanted to get out of there. Might as well go home and sleep.

Then, she gave us forms to fill in. The subject combinations form. There were only 3 courses available-- 2 Arts and 1 Commerce. The stupid admin lady who called me cheated me. What no more commerce?!

There was a time limit of 5minutes to allow us to make our choices. 5minutes! When i passed up the form personally to the lady(ms gan aka head of commerce), guess what she told me? 'You are in!' Horrorstruck sia.

Ya. So, i am now happily preparing for school tomorrow. heex =x

#100: 100th post!

Oh my goodness. This is my 100th post! I had survived 100 posts!

A geisha refers to a Japanese social escort. I liked the trailer at first sight. So gonna watch it. Memoirs of a Geisha, here i come!

Did i tell u i am addicted to mahjong. Ever since i came back from benjamin's chalet where i learnt how to play taught by SALLY KWONG (she's the one who triggered my addiction), my fingers are so ever itchy. It is not a problem of gambling, it's just the sensation of 'pong-ing' and shuffling the tiles. Ha. I dunno what i am talking about.

Anyway, Millennia Institute called me this morning. This noon, i mean. My mum woke me up saying there was a call for me. Mind you, it was 12.38pm and i was still snoring!

I took the phone and got the shock of my life. I have been waiting for their call all day and night. Finally!

But... THEY TOLD ME THEY HAD NO MORE VACANCIES FOR COMMERCE! I was like, already fuming. The person on the other end probably somehow felt my exasperation and assured me that she will consult the teacher and give me a call if it is sucessful. Anyways, i was supposed to attend a interview in my school uniform on this Wednesday. Why cant they simply accept me and close the matter?

Now, i hafta prepare myself well for the interview.

I was supposed to write a short post but my fingers cant stop.

Ok. I really want to go through the first three months. Now then i realise that when TKH mentioned we must fight for our first three months was a very good piece of advice. I am a person who needs constant studying. I am already rotting at home. If u suggest i go to work, i will say no after what's-a-so-called-bad-experience last december.

I love studying so much that i am starting to do ten-year-series. Sigh. It is the experience i yearn for. Although studying is tough, there are times when u feel a great sense of satisfaction after u complete a simple GP essay or whatsoever. I want this kind of feeling desperately.

They can only offer Arts Course for me at the moment. I will plead them on Wednesday la. Ultimately, it was the Business Management subject that drew me to that school in the first place. I CANT TAKE LITERATURE FOR NUTS! It's like asking me to hang myself to take lit. Never.

#99: I don't want to talk to him/her!

I think i have very cute parents. The other morning, they had a little tiff all because of my sisters' double-decker bed. And they quarelled over one stupid mattress.

As all of my siblings had left for school, i am the only one left behind at home with my folks. Well, my dad came into my room and said, 'Tell your mother.....I dun wan to talk to her.' Thereafter, my mum came into the room and said the exact same words, 'Tell your father.....I dun wan to talk to him.'

It turned out that their message was to tell the other party to settle each other's meals later in the afternoon. So telepathic! I am so amazed you know.

I felt that was a very cute drama. They were both talking to each other now. Not too bad. It was just a little tiff.

How i wish there was this someone for me to quarrel with. Where are you?

#98: Back after some time.

I AM BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy 2006 new year to everybody! Welcome me back please. *drums roll & applause*

Ok. I got tired of blogging some months back because ya, the fun wasnt there. But... yeah, i found my enthusiasm back so here i am!

Well, a new year symbolises a new beginning, which means we need to make new year resolutions! I don't cos i dun believe in them. Hais. Getting lamer day by day.

Ok. Let's talk about today.

I went to watch 'ELIZABETH TOWN'. I'm gonna to emphasise on my lateness-again. Supposed to meet Sally at 4.30pm but appeared at 5pm. Incredibly outrageous. Aiya, she's immune to it already. When she called me at 3plus, i was in bed. Bored to death ever since i came back from ben's chalet. There was practically nothing for me to do at home. I think i am out of point. Talk about this later. Well, i was rather broke cos i am saving up to buy new year clothes (sally dun believe in chinese traditions like go relatives' houses and bai-nian). But, being the good Samatarian(is it spelt this way?), benevolent and kind Huimin, i decided to accede to her request. Ah. These typings are fun.

I only started to get ready at 3.50pm which was really late. Didn't bother to change into anything nice la, cos it's jus Tampines. And, i am not going to meet anybody i know of cos you are all attending school! MUAHAHA! There i was, dressed in my so called pyjamas (a pink sporty spagetti top) and slipped into my sis's shorts. Nothing glamorous. It is going to be just a movie.

Waited for the stupid bus for like 15minutes. Oh ya. I left the house at 4.20pm. Got onto it at 4.40pm. Oops. Sorry. Already late. Hahaha. Uh-oh. Cant be proud of it, my dear. Must must kick this bad habit far far away!

Then, i met Sally at 5pm. She was wearing tee and jeans. Her jeans were dropping as she walked every inch. Very funny. Can see her ah-hem. Dun think dirty la. I meant her belt. LOL.

Christine was late because she finished bathing at 5. We cant blame her cos she had school. Then, Sal and i proceeded to Century Square straightaway. I cant fathom why we skipped TM. If not can save all the agony. Ok, anyways, my above statement needs some further elaboration. Well, this goes. When we got to Century Cineplex, they told us they will not be showing ELIZABETH TOWN today, tomorrow and forever. The receptionist even said the movie will only appear in LIDO! She said that u know. Guess what will happen later? Read on. SALLY, BEING THE ALL-TIME ORLANDO BLOOM FAN broke down of course, throwing her temper at me and all. I assume everybody can visual the exasperated Sally. Like a deranged woman on the run. Well, i told her i will only choose to catch ELIZABETH TOWN or THE CHINESE TALL STORY (cos i like ah-sa). She claimed the latter suck. Well...

When Christine finally came, which is like how many donkey hours later(haha), we decided to check out TM GV instead. I actually suggested going to Lido but Christine has school the next day so ya, i am considerate. When we got to TM, VOILA, THEY HAVE THE MUCH AWAITED ELIZABETH TOWN!!!!! Sally wanted to kill the Century Cineplex receptionist. What bullshit. Such a cheat. Of cos we bought the tix immediately. Imagine Sally's inexplicable euphoria. Hais.

Well, after watching the movie, i have this to say. I decided not to be mean, so: ELIZABETH TOWN IS NOT NICE. At the very least, i didnt say it sucked. A lot. It practically has no storyline. At all. None. Half the time, i was just ogling at Orlando. And, i think Kirsten Dunst is not good-looking. I just could not figure out the movie's focus. Sally claimed it to be about LIFE. Lead a new life or reborn. I have no idea. I rate it er... 2.5 stars ba. Better than The Newpaper which rated it 2 stars. Only.

And, i am so gonna watch THE MEMOIRS OF A GEISHA. Not that i like Zhang Ziyi (puh-lease, i think she is super haughty), but i like the trailer. Liked the plot too.

Christine went home immediately after the movie cos she has school the next morning. Poor thing. Thereafter, Sal and i went for dinner at Century's food court. Chatted quite happily.

Oh ya. I cant seem to sleep early these days ever since ben's chalet. See? I am still typing at 3am in the morning. Feeling super high now. I am addicted to mahjong. Thanks to sally and ben's chalet. Oh no. I miss them. Them? Who? Dun tell u. Haha.

oK. I should be turning in soon. Real soon. If not i will look like a panda in the morning. I most certainly dun want that to happen. Hello? I am supposed to bring my sister to kindergarten tomorrow, no, this morning. I dun wanna scare those 4year old children. How i wish to cuddle every one of them!

Will update very soon! Ta~
