What happened to "everlasting love"?
Why can't people just stay true to ONE person anymore?
I think the problem lies with the society we live in - the warped minds disregarding fidelity and the uncontrollable resistance to temptation.
I'm disheartened. :(
But in times of gloominess, I came across this article which sort of gave me hope that there are good men around after all!

"Extra-marital affair? Every man would want it! However, what lies behind the temptation is fatal. A brief moment of thrill and pleasure would cost you your career and family which you have painstakingly built over years."
VERY VERY TRUE but some people just don't listen and then comes the regret.
I had a HTHT session with a close friend a few days back.
She highlighted the common phenomenon of having broken families nowadays and I couldn't agree more.
Now, it is all about "合则来,不合则散。"
No one bothers about "till death do us part" anymore.
Plus, women are empowered these days with the ability to carve out a career of her own, and no longer restrained to being a grumpy homemaker anymore.
This is the part I do not like about modern women.
Yes, I adore being a 小女人,在家里相夫教子 but such women would be perceived as weak in the society we live today.Ahhhh, I so wanna go back in time and live in the 60s.
We then talked about our families and how blessed we are with loving parents.
On Tuesday while I was out the whole day and night, my parents had a huge quarrel.
I came back home on Wednesday only to find out from my sisters.
I then told my dad and mum SEPARATELY that there is no point in them cold-warring with each other because their combined ages almost make up a hundred.
Then, I left them as they are. Haha!
I expected a further two to three days of cold war but to my pleasant surprise, they made up today (Thursday).
YAY! (Y)
I guess, once they have walked such a long way together, regardless of how huge the quarrel is, the foundation of their relationship is already so strong nothing could easily break them up?
That was my assumption and it sort of proved to be correct. :p
In addition, I have never spent a day without thinking how a woman like my mum can tame a Casanova like my dad.
My dad used to be a "player" in his younger days and I don't know, he simply became more responsible after he met my mum so... I'm very moved by this fact and this isolated example just gave me faith that we women, can actually change men (although aiya, I think it is highly impossible nowadays. so contradicting :S)

On the contrary, I have this friend who got married at 18 (shotgun).
At the age of 23 now, she is experiencing problems in her marriage because of her husband's infidelity.
She has yet to collect "evidence" to prove it but trust me when I say a woman's instinct is damn right.
Not that I think her marriage woes are entirely attributed to her marrying at a young age and not based on love but a child who was about to pop, but that has to constitute a significant part right?
And men these days are just... sigh, 男人变心,是说变就变的。
Okay to be fair, women can have a change of heart too, BUT not that easily done.
Fair enough?
Anyway, do watch these 3 clips. TILL THE END.
The video isn't smooth, so just listen to the audio.
When he finally regrets, it is too late.
If I were the female lead, I would say the same thing too: "可是,我们回不去了。"
If my other half were to betray me, I would never hesitate to leave, even if I have kids because, if he can do it one time, there's no guarantee he won't do it the second time.
I have seen tooooo many of such examples.
PS: But, I'm so soft-hearted. Ottoke?!! Hahaha!
PPS: That's all for now, folks! Just taking a break from mugging for my mid-terms to write an "insightful" (IN INVERTED COMMAS HAHA!); albeit a cranky post. Back to books now!
