I was busy watching hong kong tvb drama the whole week. Can't possibly wait for cable tv to finish the episodes so i went to YouTube to catch the entire series first! Omg. The drama titled,War of In-laws was super funny can! Love it.
The attached video below is the theme song for the drama. (Click on the 'STOP' icon next to the 'Refresh' icon to shut the background music if you want to watch the video) Kinda like Hong Kong rap. Super funny. The three 'rappers' were the main characters, Myolie Wu, Bosco Wong and the HK Da-Jie-Da Lisa Wong. They rapped until off-key. Their dressing was oh-my-god. Ok. So HILARIOUS! And they acted cool like dunno-what sia! Oh. My stomach hurts so much from laughing!!! Sally and Adrian, your fellow countrymen are so comical!!!
This is the authentic version of the theme song.

#158: The Good & the Bad about working.
Alrights. People are complaining that i do not update due to laziness. That is SO wrong ok. Well, my previous post states that i will be working at WinterTime Fair right? Right now, my holiday job is finally over with effect from last wednesday. I need recuperation on thursday and now, i am going to regain blogging!
I shall now blog all about my work!
Actually, there are always 2 sides to a coin. It is the same for my job too! The good thing about working is that you get to interact with the real world, meet the different types of people, as well as enhance your life experience and learn the various ways of dealing with difficult people. This will only make you grow stronger. In this sense, my tolerance level have been greatly enhanced. in my perspective, there is only a thin line between the good and the bad. What i have from the past 10 working days have been really erm... enriching i should say.
The GOOD
The good thing about working has always got to do with meeting new friends, or should i say, worthy ones. Yes, i have colleagues, but not all may be kind and friendly towards you. For all you know, they may just stab you in the back. Anyways, i was saying about knowing great friends right. Yes, they are JANE and MING TAI! I really really enjoyed working with them. Jane is so lively and vivacious while Ming Tai is simply the joker who cheers people up. Love to have the two of them around to make my work more enjoyable. And of cos, i have to thank Yiwen, JingZhi, WanXin, Kelly for being there to gossip with me! Thanks lots!
Other than gaining new friends, i love getting appreciative customers who thanked me for my service. This is another thing to be happy about because their one word of thanks may probably be your only source of motivation for the rest of the day.
Another thing was that i was really touched to have 3 of my odac friends to come down and visit me on my last day of work. Those besties i call them were simply fair-weather friends, as Yiwen quotes. Well, i guess my girls were just busy with gossip to take time out for visitation. Anyways, cheerios to Daniel (!!!) (although i know you came only because of the twelve bucks i am supposed to pay odac), and the inseparable 'Siamese twins' -Aloysius and Quan Zun. SO sweet of the 3 of them!
A joy of working is also that you get to see CUTE AND GORGEOUS GUYS! I was DEPORTED to Takashimaya Shopping Centre for the Toys Wonderland Fair over there to be the sales promoter for WinterTime Disney as they lacked promoters and one could only arrive after 3 days. Though unable to choose, i agreed with a heavy heart because i will have NO ONE to talk to. Even my supervisor will not be there to supervise me. I will be all alone! In the mall! Promoting disney winter clothes! You all know that i need to talk twenty-four seven everyday, except maybe when i am asleep. Imagine my feelings at that point of time. I felt so lonely and helpless. When i was despondent, a glimmer of hope shined upon me. My TAKA GUY! Actually, i only noticed him on my second day of work there. He was so amiable, not like all the other male cashiers over at the counters who acted 'dao' and walked with their noses high up in the air. Moreover, he was the only one who carried a smile everywhere and that was how he attracted my attention. His smile was like carrying some sort of shyness. Haha. Anyways, ya, because my section in the fair was directly placed opposite the counter so i was kind of facing him the whole day la. I never did pluck up the courage to talk to him, until the very next day which is my last day at Taka. The last day came with a heavy heart. He put on spectacles surprisingly, since he did not in the past two days. Wore a white long sleeve shirt and black pants. Perfected the image with a red tie. So charming. We did not exchange a word till the very last 15mins i was supposed to be at Taka. He was carrying out his rounds by returning unbought merchandise to the various sections. I stopped him and asked him to return some disney bear which did not belong to my section. He replied with a cheeky smile and complained in the funny way, 'Huh? Why increase my workload? ok, i help you if you return this Spongebob figurine and WinxClub sticker book for me.' 'Sure, thanks' was what i said. Then, we never did talk again after i left the mall. I never asked for his name, never knew how old he was and never told him that was my last day there. Hais. Anyways, i was glad to be able to admire his charm to make up for 3 lonely days alone at a foreign place.
So, that was about all for the GOOD part. Let's proceed on to the BAD part.
THE BAD
Bad employers are usually inevitable. They are the ones who give you your salaries after all. In a way, they help to train your tolerance level if you are able to curb your temper and put up with their nonsense. I have this supervisor. She's one of the 'leaders' at the fair la. On the first day at work, she still appeared to be rather friendly and nice to get along with. However, as the days gone by, she began to reveal her true colours. She became really mean by giving some crude and rude remarks and displayed herself as domineering. I remember on the second last day of my work, i asked her about the stock of some track pants because the customer want it in a new package. She replied me saying' What did i tell you all?' with her eyes opened really wide like goldfish. Then, i recalled and said, ' Er... that the stocks are all out?' Then she said, 'THEN?!' This may not sound like atrocious while i write it down but i will never forget her look at that time. I mean, can you be a little nicer and stop giving people attitude? That's really bad.
Jane was also a victim caused by her. Probably she was jealous of Jane's efficiency because Jane's really good at handling customers and brought in great sums of profit, or perhaps she doesnt like Jane having good public relations by being so popular with the colleagues, she transferred her to a foreign shop TWICE! Once to Marina and another to Suntec. That is so mean you know. I mean, Jane was so upset she actually wanted to cry because the supervisor did not ask for her opinions and simply DEMANDED her to go to wherever she wants her to go. Jane is such a nice person who do not deserve to be treated like that. At least when i was asked to deport to Taka, the other supervisor( who is so much friendlier and kinder) tried to seek my understanding and i understood her situation of lacking in manpower and so i agreed. She should at least try to be.... nicer!
Apart from happiness and unhappiness aside, i really enjoyed myself at work. As i have said, work is really enriching cos i get to meet lots of different types of people. Since Suntec is a commercial hub, i have seen really proud and arrogant fellows who think that they are everything in the world, and also, amiable and approachable customers who really made my day.
Unfortunately, i can only obtain my salary at end-november. Oh wells.
I shall now blog all about my work!

#157: Starting work tmr!
I will be starting work tomorrow! So cool right! (god, it is so difficult to type with long fingernails) Anyways, ya, if you all have free time, feel free to come visit me ok! I will be selling winter clothing (Rebecca, you promised to come) at the WinterTime Fair at Suntec Tropics Atrium somewhere near Mango.
Starting work is so exciting la. I know, however, i must start mugging for the topical tests that await me next year, but i need to earn for my allowance too! Hello? I have 4 other siblings at home too and only my dad is working. Being the eldest, i must help to contribute alrights. Haha, sounds so noble but in actual fact, i'm just working for a digicam. =)
Don't worry, i have excellent time organisation. My work will only extend from 6 to 15 nov. So, it won't cost me much time to affect my studies. Thereafter, i will start mugging as well as get busy for the odac farewell night which is to be held at PARAMOUNT HOTEL! Superbly cool right! Cant wait~
Ya, that will be how my holidays are going to be spent. Of course, my emphasis will be on STUDIES! Now, STUDIES do come first and others can just wait. I must learn my lesson already. No more sleep for the sleep goddess already.
Woo, i am so excited about tomorrow. Though it will be the second job of my life, i am still filled with aniticipation! Cool!
